Crystal Palace transfer news: Eagles could revive Eddie Nketiah chase in January but Patrick Vieira in no rush

Given how successful the summer transfer window was for Crystal Palace, manager Patrick Vieira is in no rush to get much done in January.

Should opportunities arise, there may be a move for another forward option with Wilfried Zaha and Jordan Ayew heading off to the Africa Cup of Nations for the next few weeks.

There was a push to sign Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal ahead of this season and while that deal collapsed, another attempt cannot be ruled out at this stage.

The 22-year-old is out of contract in north London at the end of the season and looks destined for the exit door, meaning it would make more sense for the Gunners to move the striker this month and earn a fee rather than lose him for nothing come the summer.

Cover for left-back Tyrick Mitchell could be an option for Palace this month though it is not a priority at Selhurst Park.
