Crystal Palace tipped to complete signing of Liverpool ace to replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Crystal Palace have a big hole to fill this summer.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has completed his £50million move from Selhurst Park to Manchester United, leaving Palace with a big gap at right-back.

Wan-Bissaka enjoyed a superb season for the Eagles, in what was his first full campaign in the Premier League, having broken into the first team at the end of the 2017/18 season.

Roy Hodgson will now have a chunk of money burning a hole in his pocket, and replacing Wan-Bissaka is likely to be one of his top priorities.

And Palace are tipped to sign someone who is very familiar to the Eagles fans already - Nathaniel Clyne.

Clyne came through the ranks at Palace before playing 137 times for the Eagles in all competitions between 2008 and 2012.

After leaving Palace for Southampton, it was not long before he made a big-money move to Liverpool, where he has been ever since. He was on loan at Bournemouth in the second half of last season, playing 15 times for the Cherries, having only featured five times for the Reds in the first half of the 2018/19 season.

And the Eagles are the heavy favourites to sign him as Wan-Bissaka's replacement this summer.

Indeed, bookmakers are tipping Palace to replace one academy graduate with another, with the Eagles the odds-on favourites to sign Clyne, who has found his opportunities limited at Liverpool, owing to the performances of Trent Alexander-Arnold.

But with doubts over his long-term future at Anfield, Sky Bet have Palace priced as the 4/5 favourites to re-sign a player they sold to Southampton back in 2012.
