Crystal Palace team vs Southampton confirmed: Cenk Tosun makes Selhurst Park debut

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has again gone with a front three of Jordan Ayew, Wilfried Zaha and Cenk Tosun for this evening's game against Southampton at Crystal Palace.

It means a home debut for recent acquisition Tosun, who found the scoresheet in the remarkable 2-2 draw away to Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.

There are no changes to the starting XI at the Etihad with Jairo Riedewald, Gary Cahill, James Tomkins and Martin Kelly as the back four.

In midfield Hodgson has stuck with a trio of Cheikou Kouyate, James McArthur and James McCarthy.

While Palace's injury problems remains severe, with half a dozen senior players including captain Luka Milivojevic sidelined, midfielder Max Meyer is fit enough for a place on the bench.

Southampton's Danny Ings is only on the bench as Republic of Ireland pair Shane Long and Michael Obafemi get the nod for this evening's visitors, who are in much-improved form over the past six weeks.
