Crystal Palace team news: Roy Hodgson makes one change for Newcastle United clash

Roy Hodgson has made one change to the Crystal Palace side for this afternoon's clash with Newcastle United.

Andros Townsend returns to the starting line-up after settling for a place on the bench against Spurs midweek.

The winger was suffering with a hand injury, but comes back into the XI at the expense of Cheikhou Kouyate who drops to the bench.

That means that Vicente Guaita starts in goal, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Martin Kelly, James Tomkins and Patrick Van Aanholt make up the back four.

Palace's midfield will consist of James McArthur, Luka Milivojevic and Jeffrey Schlupp, while Wilf Zaha and Townsend will flank Michy Batshuayi in attack.

Crystal Palace team: Vicente Guaita, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Martin Kelly, James Tomkins, Patrick Van Aanholt, James McArthur, Luka Milivojevic, Andros Townsend, Wilf Zaha, Jeffrey Schlupp, Michy Batshuayi

Substitutes: Joel Ward, Scott Dann, Cheikhou Kouyate, Sam Woods, Wayne Hennessey, Jordan Ayew, Christian Benteke.
