Crystal Palace team news confirmed: Marc Guehi on the bench, Mateta and Zaha start in attack

Marc Guehi is among the substitutes as Crystal Palace take on Ipswich Town in their second pre-season friendly ahead of the new campaign.

Palace got their pre-season campaign off with a 1-0 victory against Walsall last week, with Vieira naming a strong starting XI for the clash.

Vieira has again selected a strong team to start at Portman Road, with Vicente Guaita continuing in goal.

Nathaniel Clyne starts at right-back, while James Tomkins is joined at centre-back by Cheikhou Kouyate with Guehi and Kelly on the bench. Tyrick Mitchell starts at left-back.

Jairo Riedewald starts in midfield again alongside James McArthur and Jeffrey Schlupp, with club captain Luka Milivojevic on the bench.

In attack, Jean-Philippe Mateta starts in the absence of Christian Benteke, who is not fully back after his Euro 2020 campaign with Belgium. Mateta is flanked by Wilfried Zaha, who scored the only goal of last week's game against Walsall, and Jordan Ayew.

There is no place among the substitutes for promising young striker David Omilabu, but Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is on the bench after playing 45 minutes in last night's Crystal Palace XI fixture away to Stevenage.

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita; Clyne, Kouyate, Tomkins, Mitchell; Riedewald, McArthur, Schlupp; Zaha, Mateta, Ayew.

Subs: Butland, Ward, Guehi, Kelly, Hannam, Milivojevic, Wells-Morrison, Boateng, Rak-Sakyi, Street, Banks.
