Crystal Palace team news confirmed as Andros Townsend in for Jeff Schlupp, no Gary Cahill

Roy Hodgson has made three changes to the team that started the last two games against West Brom and Spurs, with Joel Ward, Scott Dann and Andros Townsend back in the starting line up.

Nathaniel Clyne drops out of the squad entirely at right-back, as does Gary Cahill at centre-back while Jeffrey Schlupp drops to the bench after scoring last time out against Spurs.

Vicente Guaita starts Ward Clyne at right-back, Dann and Cheikhou Kouyate at centre-back and Patrick van Aanholt on the left side of defence.

In midfield, Townsend is a slight surprise back in on the right side of midfield after good successive outings there for Schlupp. He'll be alongside James McArthur and Luka Milivojevic, with Ebere Eze looking to provide threat on the left.

And in attack, Hodgson will be hoping that Zaha and Benteke can add more goals after picking up four between them against West Brom 10 days ago.

Hodgson revealed in his pre-match press conference that it was yet another match he was preparing for with no new injury issues, with Palace going through a good patch of luck in that regard.

Only Nathan Ferguson, Wayne Hennessey and Connor Wickham remain long-term absentees.

"I've got a full squad to choose from," Hodgson told reporters on Tuesday.

"[Sakho] will need to be assessed, he had to leave training but we don't know how serious that was."

Tyrick Mitchell missed out on the squad for the Spurs game on Sunday after Hodgson revealed he had left training on Friday with a slight cold, but given that he had already missed out on the previous two matchday squads when fit, it was not particularly surprising.

However, the left-back took up a place among the subs for the clash against West Ham.

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita; Ward, Kouyate, Dann, Van Aanholt; Townsend, Milivojevic, McArthur, Eze; Zaha, Benteke.

Subs: Butland, Tomkins, Mitchell, Riedewald, Schlupp, Ayew, Batshuayi.
