Crystal Palace team confirmed vs Newcastle: Michael Olise starts ahead of Wilfried Zaha

Patrick Vieira has made one change to his Crystal Palace side for their game against Newcastle United today at Selhurst Park.

The big news is that Michael Olise is in the starting XI and takes the place of Jordan Ayew, making his first start in a Crystal Palace shirt since his arrival in the summer.

Wilfried Zaha is on the bench meanwhile, having missed the 2-2 draw against Arsenal on Monday with an illness picked up while on international duty.

Christian Benteke and Odsonne Edouard both keep their places in the team meanwhile, having both found the net against Arsenal.

Elsewhere, Vieira has again placed his faith in a midfield three of Luka Milivojevic, James McArthur and Conor Gallagher to take on the Magpies.

Vicente Guaita is back between the sticks for his ninth Premier League appearance of the season, while in front of him Vieira has picked the same back four that has now started together for the last eight matches in a row.

Joachim Andersen and Marc Guehi are partnered in the heart of the Palace defence, while Joel Ward and Tyrick Mitchell are back in at full-back once again.

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita, Mitchell, Andersen, Guehi, Ward, Milivojevic, McArthur, Gallagher, Olise, Benteke, Edouard.
