Crystal Palace defender Pape Souare is set for around two months of recovery following an operation on his dislocated shoulder.
Senegal full-back Souare suffered the injury during Saturday's FA Cup win against Grimsby, with Jordan Ayew striking late to take the Eagles into the fourth round.
The club released a statement saying he had undergone a "successful operation", adding "the plan is for him to return to training in around two months' time".
Souare posted a brief update on his social media account. The defender said: "Quick minor op, and it went great can't wait to get back doing what I love. I wanna thank everyone for their ongoing support.
"See you soon."
Defender Souare had fought a long fitness battle after breaking his thighbone and jaw in September 2016 and was sidelined for a year.
The 28-year-old is out of contract this summer, with no clear sign yet of a renewal.
Roy Hodgson still has strong options at left-back with Patrick Van Aanholt and Jeffrey Schlupp.
