Crystal Palace show solidarity with Ukraine ahead of Premier League clash with Burnley

Crystal Palace have shown their solidarity with Ukraine at Selhurst Park this afternoon ahead of their Premier League clash with Burnley.

The Eagles welcome Sean Dyche's Clarets side to south London for a 3pm kick-off in the hope to record back to back league victories following their win over Watford in midweek.

Prior to kick-off on Saturday afternoon, Palace's big screens bore the Ukrainian flag as supporters slowly made their way into the ground.

Messages of unity and support have been seen across the world over the last week for Ukraine, who are currently under military invasion by neighbouring Russia.

The world of sport has come down strongly so far on Russia, with UEFA announcing they would be moving this year's Champions League final away from St Petersburg as a result of the conflict.

The Formula One Russian Grand Prix, scheduled for September, has also been cancelled, while several sportspeople from different disciplines have been using their platforms to spread messages of support with Ukraine.
