Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha determined to force through dream Arsenal transfer

Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha wants to leave the Eagles - and is desperate to force through a dream transfer to Arsenal .

Palace insist their most-prized asset is not for sale but the flier has his heart set on a switch to the Emirates.

The south Londoners are loath to lose another big name having cashed in on Aaron Wan-Bissaka - allowing the highly-rated right-back to join Manchester United for £50million.

But Zaha is undeterred and his camp have informed Arsenal he wants to make the move.

The 26-year-old is a boyhood Gunners fan and the prospect of pulling on the red shirt for Unai Emery's side is one which excites him.

Zaha had initially told Palace he wanted to move to a team that could offer him Champions League football, but has not been put off by Arsenal's failure to reach the top four, or beat Chelsea in the Europa League final.

The biggest stumbling block is Arsenal's budget, with Emery only having in the region of £40million to spend this summer, unless they can shift some big names.

Palace are holding out for an offer of around double that amount, and must pay a hefty sell-on clause to Manchester United if they do offload Zaha.

But Arsenal are confident the Eagles will be forced to accept a much lower sum when push comes to shove.

Meanwhile, Gunners chiefs are plotting a huge summer clearout, but have so far found it difficult to move on big-earners such as Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

However, Laurent Koscielny, Nacho Monreal and Calum Chambers are among those likely to leave the Emirates over the off-season.

Shkodran Mustafi could also be on the move amid interest from Fenerbahce, while Lucas Torreira is being courted by AC Milan.

Arsenal do not want to lose Torreira or golden boot winner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is attracting interest from China and has also been fancifully linked with an unlikely switch to Manchester United.

Other players on the Gunners' shopping list include Kieran Tierney and William Saliba.

Zaha is not thought to be considering handing in a transfer request in his bid to force the move, and Arsenal could even offer Palace a player in part-exchange.
