Crystal Palace reject £50m transfer bid from Man Utd for Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Manchester United have had rejected a £50million bid for Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

United are understood to have offered Palace £35m up front, plus £15m in add-ons for the right-back.

But Palace turned down the bid, United’s second for Wan-Bissaka, with the Eagles wanting £50m up front for their coveted England Under-21 star.

United must now decide whether to restructure the terms of their offer to suit Palace or walk away from the potential deal, dealing a huge blow to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s transfer plans.

Solskjaer sees Wan-Bissaka as a key part of his United rebuild this summer and has made the 21-year-old one of his priority signings as he seeks to overhaul his under-performing squad.

Wan-Bissaka is desperate to join United, but Palace are unwilling to let him go for less than their full valuation of him and will only allow him to leave on their terms.

That could ultimate price Wan-Bissaka out of his dream move to Old Trafford, with United exploring a cheaper alternative in Paris St Germain’s Thomas Meunier, 27, who would cost them £25m.

Solskjaer is looking for a new long-term right-back, with Antonio Valencia having left this summer and Diogo Dalot, 20, not considered ready to hold down the position on a regular basis.
