Here are your morning headlines for Tuesday, April 7.

Palace receive Morelos boost

Crystal Palace have received a boost in their pursuit of Alfredo Morelos.

The Eagles were linked with a £20m January swoop in October 2019, but an official bid was never publicly revealed.

Morelos remained at Ibrox, but according to a report from Goal, the club are already making plans for life without the striker.

Premier League footballers should take a pay cut - UK health secretary

Former Sunderland striker Josh Maja and Liverpool’s Rhian Brewster are part of a shortlist of five strikers that are being considered as potential replacements.

The striker has 29 goals in 46 games this season, and has drawn interest from across Europe. The report claims that Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Leicester City and Inter Milan, are all tracking the striker ahead of a summer move.

Everton rival Palace for Turkish midfielder

Fenerbahce are ready to cash in on Everton and Crystal Palace target Ozan Tufan for a cut-price fee, according to Milliyet.

The Turkey international has been linked with a move to the Premier League, and he has produced three goals and six assists in 25 league games. Tufan has represented Turkey 47 times at international level, and his release clause is believed to be in the region of £17 million.

Palace keeping tabs on Austrian striker

Palace are one of three Premier League clubs tracking Austrian striker Adrian Grbic, according to TEAMtalk.

The chase is being led by Palace and Brighton, but they’ll face competition from Scottish sides Rangers and Celtic. Grbic plays for Ligue 2 side Clermont Foot, and with his contract running out in the summer of 2022, the report claims that the club might be looking to cash in on him in the summer.

Grbic started his career on the books of German side Stuttgart and moved back to his native Austria in 2016 with Floridsdorfer. He joined Clermont in 2019 and has 17 goals and four assists in 26 appearances.
