Crystal Palace midfielder has a warning for Spurs' top-four rivals about Tottenham's new stadium

James McArthur says Tottenham have done a great job with their new stadium after taking part in the first Premier League fixture at the ground.

Tottenham hosted Crystal Palace last night in the inaugural Premier League fixture at the new £1billion stadium complex, with Spurs winning the game 2-0 thanks to goals from Heung-min Son and Christian Eriksen.

And the Palace midfielder said he was impressed by the new stadium, while sending a warning to Tottenham's rivals for a top-four spot, with Spurs still having four home games in the Premier League this season.

But the Scottish midfielder could not hide his disappointment at the end result, having held out in the first half at Tottenham's new stadium.

And he said that while Palace defended well for large periods, he admitted they did not pose enough problems for Mauricio Pochettino's men.

"We're disappointed. We didn't really cause them too many problems until the end, when we had a couple of chances," he said.

"We kept it quite tight and the defence played well, but I am disappointed that we couldn't get anything from the game.
