Crystal Palace linked with £12.5m transfer swoop as players return to training

Good morning. Here are your morning headlines from Crystal Palace for Wednesday, April 20.

Palace players return to training - with a slight difference

Crystal Palace's players will be reporting back for Phase One of their return to training today (Tuesday) but not at their usual site on Copers Cope Road first off.

Instead, the players will be parking at the adjacent Kent Cricket site in Beckenham across the afternoon in three separate time slots after the Premier League clubs agreed to a return to small group training.

That means groups of no more than five can train together, with social distancing maintained at all times, and for no longer than 75 minutes at a time.

Palace linked with £12.5m move for Liverpool defender

Nathaniel Clyne is seemingly on his way out of Anfield this summer having fallen behind Trent Alexander-Arnold in the pecking order at right back.

Also, according to the report, Clyne is unlikely to sign a new deal on Merseyside if he was offered one.

Palace fans - we need your help!

No part of regular life has been untouched since COVID-19 entered the world – including our beloved football.

Every weekend used to be filled with the buzz, adrenaline, elation and despair of following Crystal Palace, but for the past two months, that has been lacking as all competitive action in England was put on hiatus.

In the weeks since, debate has raged about its return: Should it happen? When will it come back? Is it truly worth resuming the 2019/20 season?

At football.london , we have decided to put this all to you, the supporter, as we ask you to take part in our Great Big Football Lockdown Survey.
