Crystal Palace lineup vs Newcastle confirmed: Benteke starts, but no Milivojevic for the Eagles

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has resisted the temptation to make big changes to his side for the game against Newcastle United.

The Eagles are looking to try and end a three-game losing streak in the Premier League, after defeats against Southampton, Sheffield United and Everton in recent weeks.

But Hodgson has largely kept faith with the same team that took to the field against Everton for the 3-1 defeat at Goodison Park.

He has made to changes for the game, one of which is enforced, with Scott Dann coming into the heart of the Palace defence to replace James Tomkins, who went off with a hamstring injury at Goodison Park.

Christian Benteke keeps his place up front for the Eagles, after ending his goal drought on Merseyside, with Cenk Tosun named on the bench after returning from injury.

In midfield, Hodgson has brought in Cheikhou Kouyate, with captain Luka Milivojevic not in the squad.

Kouyate will line up alongside James McCarthy and James McArthur in midfield.

For Newcastle, Steve Bruce has former Palace striker Dwight Gayle back from injury, with the forward named among the substitutes.

Newcastle : Dubravka, Lazaro, Fernandez, Schar, Lascelles, Rose, Almiron, S.Longstaff, Bentaleb, Joelinton, Saint-Maximin.
