Crystal Palace lineup vs Man City confirmed: Zaha, Edouard start, Christian Benteke dropped

Patrick Vieira has made three changes to his Crystal Palace side for today's trip to the Etihad to take on Manchester City.

Christian Benteke has lost his place in the side, despite having scored in each of his last matches against Arsenal and Newcastle United.

Wilfried Zaha is restored to the starting XI meanwhile and will play on the left, while Frenchman Odsonne Edouard starts upfront having played on the left in Palace's last two games.

Jordan Ayew is also recalled to the team on the right, replacing teenager Michael Olise who made his first start for the Eagles against Newcastle last time out.

In midfield, Serbian skipper Luka Milivojevic also misses out and is replaced by Cheikhou Kouyate. The Senegalese star will play in the holding role in Vieira's preferred 4-3-3 formation, with both James McArthur and Conor Gallagher just ahead of him in midfield.

At the back, Vicente Guaita returns in goal while Marc Guehi and Joachim Andersen partner each other at centre-back for the ninth Premier League game in a row.

Tyrick Mitchell keeps his spot at left-back meanwhile, with Joel Ward - who celebrated his 32nd birthday yesterday - at right-back.

Crystal Palace XI: Guiata, Mitchell, Andersen, Guehi, Ward, Kouyate, Gallagher, McArthur, Zaha, Edouard, Ayew
