Crystal Palace join Everton, Brighton, Burnley and Swansea City in race for Chelsea full-back - reports

Crystal Palace have entered the race for Chelsea youngster Reece James.

The Sun claim Palace view the young full-back as the ideal replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who's already sealed a move to Manchester United in this window.

Swansea City are believed to be interested in taking the 19-year old on loan this summer , following a successful loan spell at Wigan Athletic, which saw him score three goals in 46 appearances in all competitions.

New boss Steve Cooper is believed to be an admirer of the youngster, but is likely to face plenty of competition for his signature.

The full-back is also believed to on the radar of Everton, Brighton, Burnley and several clubs in Germany, but won't be heading back out on loan until Chelsea establish the full extent of their transfer ban from FIFA.

Palace, like Swansea, are believed to prefer a temporary move, but could well consider a permanent transfer during one of the next two windows.

The right-back is set to miss the beginning of the season after damaging ankle ligaments while on duty with England's under-20s.

James was carried off on a stretcher at the recent Toulon Tournament last month, after going down just before half-time in the clash against Chile.
