Crystal Palace is 'where I will be next season' insists Aaron Wan-Bissaka amid Man United interest

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has given Crystal Palace a huge boost by insisting he will be at the club next season despite interest from Manchester United.

The right-back is coming towards the end of a brilliant season at Selhurst Park.

He has caught the eye of all of the top six Premier League clubs over the past year but United have shown the strongest interest as they look to find a long-term replacement for Ashley Young, who will be 34 in July.

Crystal Palace, however, are reluctant to sell 21-year-old Wan-Bissaka, who has been with the club since he was 11 and signed a new contract until June 2022 this time last year.

“The situation just shows that my performances don’t go unnoticed,” Wan-Bissaka told Standard Sport.

“But I am with Crystal Palace at the moment. That is where my contract is and that is where I will be next season.

"I have got three years left on my contract. It says I am going to be there, so that is all I can focus on now.”

Wan-Bissaka’s remarkable campaign was recognised on Tuesday night at Palace’s end-of-season awards, where he won Player of the Season, Players’ Player of the Season and the PFA Community Champion Award.

Just a year ago he won Young Player of the Season at the same awards ceremony and this time won the Player of the Season award with 59 per cent of fans voting for him.

Wan-Bissaka joked afterwards he will have to find more space at home for his awards, but said he could take his performances to the next level by adding goals to his game.

“It feels good. It makes me feel proud to come away with three [awards],” he said. “As I say, I didn’t expect it but at the same time I am grateful to win all three.

“Obviously the dream was to perform well and stand out. To see that I have makes me feel proud, but at the same time it makes me hungrier for next season.

“I would like to add goals and rack up more assists than I have this season. I will get that by getting forward, but obviously first I have got to think about defending.”
