Crystal Palace are investigating footage which appears to show a fan taunting Manchester United supporters over the Munich air disaster.
In the video filmed by a United fan, the Palace supporter appears to make a gesture of a plane crash with hands towards visiting fans at Selhurst Park, during Wednesday night’s meeting which United won 3-1.
In a statement, Palace said: “We have been made aware of an incident captured on video involving a supporter at Selhurst Park during our last home game against Manchester United.
“The incident has been reported to the police and the club will be working with them to identify the individual responsible.
“We take a zero tolerance approach to this sort of behaviour, as and when the individual is identified, we will take the appropriate course of action.”
The Munich air disaster, in which 23 people died including eight United players and three members of staff, was remembered last month on its 61st anniversary.
