Crystal Palace hold firm over Aaron Wan-Bissaka as Man Utd plan next move

Crystal Palace are maintaining their strong stance with Aaron Wan-Bissaka after rejecting a second bid of around £50m from Manchester United for the defender.

United have made the right-back a priority in the current transfer window after being impressed with his performances this season.

They have already failed with an opening offer of £40m and now a second bid of around £50m has also been rejected by Palace.

A significant part of that offer was believed to be made up of add-ons, around £15m, and the Eagles are understood to want more money upfront if they are to consider letting one of their prized assets go this summer.

Crystal Palace remain in a strong position when it comes to Wan-Bissaka, given the defender still has three years to run on his contract.

The right-back, who is part of the England Under-21 squad competing at the European Championships this summer, has been tipped for a bright future and as such Palace believe they can demand a high fee for him in the current market - possibly as much as £60m.

The club are also in a commanding position due to the fact the 21-year-old has, so far, not tried to force a move away from Selhurst Park.

Reports claim Wan-Bissaka’s preference would be to head to Old Trafford this summer but, even if that is the case, as of yet he has not pushed to leave Palace and that has allowed the club to stay strong in their stance when rejecting offers.
