Crystal Palace fans say the same thing after VAR call against Patrick Bamford and Leeds United

Crystal Palace have been unfortunate on several occasions so far this season when it comes to VAR decisions.

Palace striker Michy Batshuayi has had goals disallowed in two recent matches, with the Belgian denied goals following VAR reviews in recent games against Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolves.

But Palace benefited from a VAR decision this afternoon as former Eagles loanee Patrick Bamford was denied an equaliser in the first half of the game between Roy Hodgson's men and Leeds United at Selhurst Park.

After Scott Dann had opened the scoring for Palace with a towering header, Bamford thought he had netted the equaliser after a fine dinked finish over Eagles goalkeeper Vicente Guaita.

However, Bamford was denied a goal on his return to Selhurst Park, with the goal disallowed for offside following a VAR review, after the Leeds striker's arm was adjudged to be beyond the final defender, much to his frustration.

And even Palace fans have suggested that the goal should have stood.

Here's what some Palace fans have been saying.

Bamford is back at Selhurst Park five years on from a disappointing loan spell with Palace, during which he made nine appearances on loan from Chelsea without scoring a goal.

Bamford has, however, been in fine form so far this season for Leeds, scoring his first Premier League hat-trick in a recent 3-0 win against Aston Villa to take his tally to six goals for the campaign prior to this fixture.

And Bamford has since added to that tally with a goal at Selhurst Park, scoring later in the first half to reduce the deficit after Ebere Eze's first Palace goal made it 2-0 to the hosts.

But Palace have added a third goal just before the break to make it 3-1.
