Crystal Palace are reportedly the frontrunners to sign Liverpool starlet Rhian Brewster.
Last season Brewster spent the season on loan in the Championship with Swansea City and scored 11 goals in 22 matches as they missed out on promotion through the playoffs.
The 20-year-old returned to Anfield after a short break in an effort to catch Reds boss Jurgen Klopp's eye in pre-season and although he got on the scoresheet during their tour of Austria, he missed a penalty in the Community Shield shoot-out defeat to Arsenal.
Talks were held between Brewster and Klopp about his future and with the striker stressing the need to play more, he has been given permission to leave.
Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder revealed discussions had already taken place between them and Liverpool about Brewster.
But according to the Daily Mail, Palace are now the favourites for the £20m-rated youngster.
Brewster has not been included in Liverpool's squads against Leeds and Chelsea.
Palace's move for Brewster comes after an impressive 3-1 win over Manchester United on Saturday.
The Eagles were particularly impressive in attack with Wilfried Zaha leading the way with two goals.
And speaking after the match, Andros Townsend, who opened the scoring, said Palace were confident they could get a result ahead of the match.
He said: "Moments like that [scoring], when I do retire, I’ll obviously cherish. It means nothing if you lose on one of those milestones but to cap it with a goal and a very impressive victory at Old Trafford is one I’ll remember for a very long time.
"We know we’ve got quality in the squad. We showed it at times last season. This season we have one or two young players, as you saw when Ebs [Eberechi Eze] came on at the end, we added that.
"We’re fully confident, we knew it was United’s first game and maybe we could catch them cold. We did that in the first five minutes. Once we get ahead we know we’re a very well-drilled team and we knew we had enough in the dressing room to see out the result today and we more than did that."
