Despite rumours linking both players to the club in recent weeks, it simply wouldn't be in Crystal Palace's best interests to sign either Aaron Ramsey or John Swift in the January transfer window.
Patrick Vieira currently has more options in the centre of the pitch than anywhere else in his squad, with James McArthur, Conor Gallagher and Luka Milivojevic currently the Frenchman's preferred three in midfield.

Swift is clearly a player with a lot of talent, and thanks to his current deal at the Madejski running out in June, there are no shortage of suitors currently weighing up a move for the midfielder.
There will obviously be a Conor Gallagher-shaped hole in Vieira's squad at the end of the season as the Chelsea loanee heads back to his parent club, but if Palace are going to spend any money in January then it could be better spent elsewhere.
Jordan Ayew has kept his place in the team despite scoring just once in the last 50 games he has played for the club, and could be on the way out at the end of the season as his contract expires in the summer.
Michael Olise and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi are both great prospects to fill his spot in the team but are both still teenagers, so signing a winger with some top-flight experience might be on the agenda for the club.
Elsewhere, Palace need some more depth at full-back to assist Tyrick Mitchell, while they may also want to strengthen on the other side with Nathaniel Clyne out of contract in the summer.
