Crystal Palace defender drops big hint over Victor Camarasa deal ahead of transfer deadline

Victor Camarasa's move to Crystal Palace appears to be close to completion, after Patrick van Aanholt dropped a big hint over the proposed deal.

The Real Betis midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to south London this summer, with Palace working to bring the Spaniard to the club on loan.

Camarasa spent last season on loan at Cardiff City, scoring five times in 33 appearances for Neil Warnock's men, with his performances attracting interest from other Premier League clubs.

During the course of the summer, he has been linked with Tottenham, Burnley and Palace, among others, and Warnock recently revealed that he had spoken to his former club Palace and Burnley about Camarasa, with the Cardiff City boss saying that the Bluebirds gave them a good reference about the Spanish midfielder.

But it is understood that the Eagles are closing in on the signing of the 25-year-old on an initial season-long loan deal, with an option to make the move permanent next summer.

And Palace's Dutch left-back has given a hint that the deal to sign Camarasa is close, having spoken about the midfielder during a live questions and answers video on social networking website Instagram.

When asked by a fan what Camarasa is like, van Aanholt responded: “I haven’t even seen him, I haven’t even trained with him yet, so I don’t know.”
