Crystal Palace have lodged their interest in James McCarthy with Everton.
The Blues midfielder is in the final year of his contract at Goodison and expected to leave this summer.
McCarthy has been with Everton throughout pre-season but does not feature in Marco Silva’s plans.
The 28-year-old recovered from a double leg break in early 2018 and with game time under Silva he wanted to leave on loan in January.
Everton blocked the move but are now willing to sell the Republic of Ireland international.

It is thought the Blues value McCarthy at around £10m but reports last night suggested Palace are trying to snap the player up for less.
Palace have a long-standing interest in the player Everton bought for £13m in the summer of 2013.
