Crystal Palace confirm huge Wilfried Zaha boost amid injury news for Arsenal clash

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has confirmed that Wilfried Zaha is fit and available to face Arsenal this weekend.

The Palace talisman had been a doubt for the game, after missing the FA Cup third round defeat against Derby County last weekend.

His absence, together with injuries for Max Meyer and Jairo Riedewald in the cup clash, added to Palace's injury crisis, with the list of players sidelined reaching double figures.

But Hodgson has confirmed that those three players are now in contention to feature against Arsenal at Selhurst Park tomorrow.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, he said: "Wilf played through the Norwich game with injury, but he couldn't do that again against Derby.

"But he has recovered now. Max [Meyer] and Jairo [Riedewald], were different, they had knocks, or fatigue, but both trained yesterday and they are available for the game."

However, Palace are set to still be without nine players for the game against the Gunners.

Defenders Scott Dann, Mamadou Sakho, Joel Ward and Patrick van Aanholt are currently sidelined, while Andros Townsend, Jeffrey Schlupp and Christian Benteke have also been missing in recent weeks.
