Crystal Palace are set to complete a deal for West Brom fullback Nathan Ferguson and are keen to add another player before tomorrow's deadline.
The 19-year-old is set to join in a deal thought to be worth around £4million initially.
West Brom were reluctant to let Ferguson go this month, however they would only have earned a nominal training compensation fee had he left at the end of his contract in the summer.
Palace are hoping to get at least one more deal over the line before Friday's deadline and are continuing their push to sign Belgian forward Yannick Carrasco.
Crystal Palace has also been in the market for Tottenham fullback Kyle Walker-Peters.
But the 22-year-old joined Southampton on loan for the rest of the season on Wednesday.
