Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish gives update on Roy Hodgson's contract situation

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish believes Roy Hodgson's contract situation will be resolved "in the fullness of time."

The Eagles boss is out of contract at the end of the current season, having been with Palace since September 2017, guiding the club to 11th and 12th place finishes.

There has been some speculation over Hodgson's long-term future at the club, amid some frustration after Palace failed to complete more than one signing for the first team in the January transfer window.

But Hodgson recently confirmed that he had been in talks with Palace over a new deal to extend his time at the club.

And Palace chairman Steve Parish has given an update on his situation and confirmed that he expects it to be sorted over the coming weeks and months.

“Yes, we have presented an offer to Roy and we are talking to him about that," he said, speaking in an interview with Palace TV.

“I think everyone is pretty focused on the games, but yes that is in discussions and for Roy, he has said himself in the press that he is very relaxed about it. We are very relaxed about it I think, and we’ll get that done in the fullness of time."
