Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson completely in the dark over Wilfried Zaha future

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson says he is completely in the dark over Wilfried Zaha's current situation.

Hodgson is expecting Zaha back in Palace training in early August but the forward's future is far from certain with both Arsenal and Everton in the race for his signature.

Chelsea are also reportedly interested in striking a deal for the Ivory Coast international, though their situation is complicated by a two-window transfer ban.

Zaha is keen to leave Palace this summer, but Arsenal have been put off by the Eagles' £80m valuation and are now in advanced talks to sign Nicolas Pepe.

Asked about Zaha's future after Palace's 5-0 friendly win over Bristol City on Saturday, Hodgson told Sky Sports: "He's dealing with the chairman at the moment. The chairman's his link, they get on very well and know each other very well.

"Most of what's going on with Wilfried is going on between him and the chairman and I can't enlighten you at all.

"I know what you know. I know it through reading on your websites or in newspapers."

Asked if there was any truth in reports Everton have submitted a bid, Hodgson said: "I dont' know."
