Roy Hodgson made four changes to the side that drew against West Ham in midweek, with Nathaniel Clyne, Gary Cahill and Jeff Schlupp all returning to the starting line up, while Jordan Ayew comes in for the suspended Christian Benteke.
The big shock came with the news that Mohamed Salah was on the bench for the visitors. The Egyptian star has been given a rest after a packed Liverpool schedule.
Vicente Guaita starts in goal for Palace, with Clyne at right-back, Cahill and Cheikhou Kouyate at centre-back and Patrick van Aanholt on the left side of defence.
In midfield, Schlupp starts on the right with Luka Milivojevic and James McArthur in the centre, and Ebere Eze will be hoping to create some magic on the left. Ayew replaces Benteke in attack, alongside Wilfried Zaha.
Hodgson confirmed in his pre-match press conference that there were no new injury worries after the West Ham game, though Mamadou Sakho would be missing out again with a calf strain he picked up in training just before that match.
And Benteke's red card against the Hammers would obviously necessitate a change in attack, while Cahill, Clyne and Schlupp were available after being rested in midweek.
"We don't have any significant injuries other than long term injuries we've had but obviously we've lost Christian Benteke on Wednesday.
"Mamadou Sakho's got a slight calf strain we're monitoring. He's not in the reckoning at the moment.
"All the other three (Cahill, Clyne and Schlupp) who were out were rested rather than dropped, they're back in the reckoning.
"With the quality of the bench we have at the moment, I knew that I could trust them to go in and do an exceptionally good job for us and I was proven right, fortunately."
