Crysencio Summerville Leeds United transfer latest as agent set for talks with Whites hierarchy

Leeds United are reportedly set to sit down with Crysencio Summerville's agent to thrash out talks regarding his future at Elland Road. The Dutch youth international has been on duty for his country at the Under-21 European Championships, but is set to hold talks with his representatives and the Whites' hierarchy.

The proposed takeover at Leeds has slowed down both incomings and outgoings as they await the green light from the EFL for the 49ers to complete the deal. The Whites are yet to make a decision regarding their head coach or sporting director, which are critical before the start of next season.

Summerville has been linked with a whole host of clubs both in England and the continent after an impressive campaign with the Whites' first-team. He announced himself on the Elland Road stage scoring in four consecutive matches before the World Cup break, including a memorable last-minute winner against Liverpool at Anfield last November.

The likes of Aston Villa, Everton, PSV and Feyenoord have all been linked with the Leeds youngster this summer. The Netherlands exit from the Euros should now speed up talks with the Whites, with Summerville himself saying he would address his future after the tournament.

Daily agent phone calls and a 'street mentality' made Leeds United life 'very difficult'

A street mentality around Leeds United’s training ground made things choppy for Crysencio Summerville in an opening six months he now admits were ‘very difficult’ for him. The Dutch winger has bemoaned his poor English, living in a hotel and away from his favourite people during a transition in which he was calling his agent every day for an escape route.

Last night, Summerville was involved as the Netherlands crashed out of the European Under-21 Championship at the group stage. The 21-year-old will now take a long-awaited break and consider his future.

There are another three years to run on the contract Summerville signed last August, but he has already admitted this month he does not know if he will be at Elland Road next year. Summerville had made it clear, more than once, his agent was under strict instructions to hold back any transfer talk until after the summer tournament.

In an interview with Voetbal International, as reported by Feyenoord news platform 1908.nl, Summerville has looked back to the start of his time with the Whites. The forward joined Leeds in September 2020 as an 18-year-old from the Rotterdam outfit.

Crysencio Summerville breaks silence on Leeds United future as admirers stack up

Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville has said he will remain focused on the Netherlands European U21s Championship campaign before he addresses his club future, following the Whites relegation from the Premier League.

The 21-year-old winger enjoyed something of a breakout campaign for Leeds last season, as he announced himself on the scene by scoring in four consecutive matches before the World Cup break, including a memorable last-minute winner against Liverpool at Anfield last November.

Summerville was unable to add to his goalscoring tally over the second half of the campaign as Leeds slipped into a relegation battle that they ultimately lost, but Summerville appears to have won over a number of admirers as Leeds head into a summer of uncertainty when it comes to who they will be able to keep hold of.

The likes of Aston Villa, Everton, PSV and Feyenoord have all been linked with the Leeds youngster this summer, but he has told Dutch outlet NOS that he is remaining laser-focused on his international commitments for now.

Everton showing Leeds United admiration as quartet 'feature' on Goodison Park shortlist

Everton seem to be eyeing up an Elland Road raid with as many as four Leeds United players being linked with moves to Merseyside this week. Leeds will be keen to keep hold of as many players as possible following their relegation from the Premier League, as they look to launch a push towards promotion.

It seems inevitable, though, that some will leave the Whites this summer and the rumour mill is in full swing with players being linked away left, right and centre. However, according to reports, Everton are showing admiration of the talent United currently have on their books.

The Blues narrowly avoided relegation for the second season running last time around and it would seem as though they are keen to pick off the best players from those teams they finished above, with interest in a Leeds quartet. Crysencio Summerville is the latest to be linked with the Daily Telegraph suggesting that Everton could look to sign the Netherlands U21 international this summer.

Reported interest in Summerville has emerged from across Europe, with Aston Villa, Feyenoord and Borussia Dortmund all said to be keeping an eye on the winger. The 21-year-old is still on the rise as a player and he showed his potential last season with a number of impressive performances for the Whites.

Leeds United's Crysencio Summerville has one safe option as transfer interest gathers pace

Crysencio Summerville’s name has been a regular feature in this month’s gossip columns following Leeds United’s relegation from the Premier League. The Whites winger has been linked with a host of clubs both in the Premier League and on the continent and it seems he could be part of the exodus that is expected at Elland Road this summer.

Borussia Dortmund are perhaps the most high profile team credited with interest in Summerville, but Aston Villa, PSV Eindhoven and RB Leipzig have also been mentioned previously and fresh reports suggest Feyenoord could be in the mix. Summerville started his career at Feyenoord and the Dutch club have reportedly reached out to the winger, with head coach Arne Slot making contact, according to 1908.NL.

It’s not hard to understand why the 21-year-old is attracting some of the biggest clubs in Europe this summer, either. Summerville might not have been able to prevent the Whites from losing their top flight status, but he showed regular glimpses of his talent in what will go down as a fine breakthrough season individually at Elland Road.

Crysencio Summerville 'holds talks' with former club

Dutch media outlet 1908 claims Crysencio Summerville has held talks with former club Feyenoord about a possible move this summer. The Leeds United winger was one of the breakthrough prospects last season and has been linked with a move to Aston Villa, Borussia Dortmund and back to his native country last week.

However, the latest reports claim Summerville has held talks with Feyenoord boss Arne Slot about a possible return to his former club. The 21-year-old came through the academy set-up at the current Eredivisie champions, but didn't make a senior appearance prior to his move to Elland Road in 2020.

Leeds have set a reported asking price in the region of €12million for Summerville's services this summer. The Dutch youth international is under contract at Elland Road until the summer of 2026.

The report adds there has been no contact between the two clubs, despite claiming Summerville spoke with Slot on the phone for an hour.

European side look to tempt Leeds United into sale with transfer clauses

When the international transfer window swings open on July 1, Leeds United will no doubt be braced for a number of offers on a number of players. Relegation has meant that the sharks will be circling the Whites squad, as teams look to take advantage of a team that will soon see its revenues drastically plunge.

For Leeds fans, this interest will perhaps be especially galling when it comes to the club's younger players, who supporters had previously envisaged seeing their team built around in coming seasons.

Crysencio Summerville certainly falls into this category, after the 21-year-old has something of a breakout season, with his winning goal at Anfield against Liverpool one of the highlights of an otherwise bleak campaign. The winger would end the season having scored four goals in his 40 appearances across all competitions and has been called up for the Netherlands under-21s side for this summer's U21s European Championship.
