Crysencio Summerville in Rangers 'beautiful club' verdict as Feyenoord winger makes transfer declaration

Crysencio Summerville insists Rangers are a 'beautiful club' but the Dutch winger only has eyes for Feyenoord.

Reports have linked Steven Gerrard with a move for the teenager after he impressed on-loan at ADO Den Haag last season.

Anderlecht and RB Salzburg are also reportedly in the mix as the 18-year-old's Feyenoord contract enters its last year.

But he's cleared up speculation over his future by declaring he wants to remain at de Kuip.

He said: "The teams that are interested in me are beautiful clubs.

"But that would be another step for me and I don't think about moving at all. All my thoughts are with Feyenoord.

"We are talking about a new contract and it's all about what is best for me. The conversations are going well. For me, it's not about money.

"The financial side of the contract is the very last thing on my mind. It's about what is my best path for my career.

"It's not even about just next season, it's about the long-term and I want to feel Feyenoord trust me.

"I want to play at De Kuip every week and be one of the club's important players."

Summerville made 21 appearances in the Dutch top flight before the coronavirus lockdown and netted twice. He's played for the Netherlands at youth levels and helped them win the European Under 17s Championship in 2018.
