Cruz Beckham’s Cardiff concert was marred by a geographical blunder after souvenir tickets distributed to the audience stated that the Welsh capital is in England.
The youngest son of David and Victoria Beckham is currently on his first headline tour with his band: Cruz Beckham and the Breakers.
The 21-year-old and his group performed their only Wales gig at Cardiff’s Clwb Ifor Bach, a venue known for promoting Welsh culture, on Friday night (27 February).
Souvenir tickets were given out to the crowd, reading: “Cruz Beckham and the Breakers: Live at Clwb Ifor Bach. Cardiff, England, UK.”
Speaking to the BBC, audience member Jason Erickson, 52, said he was surprised by the mistake. “You would expect them to pick something like that [up]... being the only Welsh gig,” he said.
“You kind of think, let’s make sure we get that on the money but, you know, I’m a proud Welshman but it hasn’t really upset me.”
Erickson praised the band’s performance, however, and said that he hoped “it was one of those oversights” since the band’s other UK gigs are being staged in England.

It was an ironic error given that Clwb Ifor Bach is one of the city’s most popular Welsh language venues.
The Independent has contacted Dawbell, who represent the band, and Clwb Ifor Bach for comment.
Cruz Beckham and the Breakers began their tour in Birmingham on Wednesday (25 February) and are due to perform 13 dates across the UK and Europe.
The tour will come to a close at the end of March with two London performances at The Courtyard Theatre.
Their shows come amid an ongoing feud between the Beckham family and eldest son Brooklyn, after he announced in a social media post in January that he does not want to “reconcile” with his parents and siblings.
Brooklyn accused his parents of “trying endlessly to ruin my relationship” with wife Nicola Peltz whom he married in 2022.
David and Victoria are yet to comment on the explosive statement, which accused the couple of prioritising “Brand Beckham” over all else and controlling narratives in the press.
Tensions had already been building prior to the statement. In December last year, Cruz alleged that he and his parents woke up to find that they had been blocked on Instagram by Brooklyn.
After reports emerged that David and Victoria had unfollowed their eldest son, Cruz set the record straight, posting on his Stories at the time: “NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son… Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I.”
