Crusaders vs Glenavon postponed over Covid protocols

Saturday's Danske Bank Premiership clash between Crusaders and Glenavon has been postponed in line with the NI Football League’s Covid Case Policy.

It is the third straight postponement for Crusaders having seen fixtures against Carrick Rangers and Ballyclare Comrades called off in the past week.

NIFL said in a statement: "The NI Football League can advise supporters of a Danske Bank Premiership fixture postponement.

"Crusaders v Glenavon scheduled for this Saturday (23 October) has been now postponed.

"The postponement was requested in line with the NI Football League's Covid Case Policy and recommended by an independent panel appointed by the NI Football League."

Glenavon added on their website that they received correspondence from the NI Football League which said “an Independent Panel appointed by the NI Football League considered Crusaders FC appeal of their case under Article 3 of the NIFL COVID-19 Case Policy.

“Taking into the account all of the information provided by Crusaders FC, the Panel has considered this appeal and made an informed recommendation which is to accede to Crusaders FC’s request.”

A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course.
