Crumlin takeaway sees premises smashed to pieces after car crashes into it

A popular Dublin takeaway has seen its premises smashed to pieces after a car crashed into it.

Midori Japanese and Thai takeaway, located on the Crumlin Road near Dolphin's Barn, had its front windows and door completely destroyed in the incident.

Earlier today a garda could be seen sealing off the scene after the car was removed from the premises.

The Volkswagen car appears to have reversed into the front of the shop, ripping the structure apart.

Smashed glass, damaged seating and torn shutters can be seen in images taken at the scene.

It is currently unknown if anyone was in the takeaway during the incident, or if there were any injuries as a result.

Dublin Live has contacted gardai for a statement.
