Crumlin Road crash: Emergency services at the scene of two incidents

Emergency services are in attendance at two crashes in the same part of North Belfast.

Both collisions are on the Upper Crumlin Road, and close to each other.

One is at the bottom of Squires Hill and the other is at Loughview.

The exact circumstances of each are not yet known however the ambulance service, fire service and police are all believed to be in attendance.

DUP Councillor Dale Pankhurst said: "Two serious accidents on the Upper Crumlin Road in Ballysillan within a few hundred yards of one another.

"I would ask for people to avoid the area as emergency services work at the scene."

SDLP Councillor Paul McCusker said that parts of the road have been closed.

He added: "There are currently two serious road traffic incidents ongoing on the upper Crumlin Road Road beside Squires Hill and another close by at Loughview. NIFRS, NIAS and police are currently on the scene.

"I’m waiting on a further update from police."
