Cruelty probe launched after shocking footage show Scots dog walker allegedly lifting small dog 'by the neck'

An investigation has been launched after a Scots dog walker was seen allegedly lifting a small dog up by the neck.

The incident was caught on camera and footage shows a woman carrying the Jack Russell type dog into the garden of a house in Bonnybridge, near Falkirk.

It is unclear whether the dog was wearing a harness but the short video clip soon went viral on social media after being posted online.

A branded dog walking van, belonging to Shona’s Pet Services, could be seen in the background parked on the house’s driveway.

The incident, which is understood to have taken place last Thursday, has since been reported to the Scottish SPCA who confirmed that a probe has been launched.

Chief superintendent Mike Flynn said: “We can confirm that we have received reports about this incident.
