Cruel woman denied boys food and made them stand for hours in years of sick abuse

A cruel woman has been jailed after forcing two young boys to stand for hours, and denying them food in a four-year campaign of child abuse.

Samantha Paisley, 36, was arrested for mistreating two youngsters after one of the boy's schools raised concerns for their welfare in May 2018.

She was charged with child neglect offences along with Darren Paisley, 39, and 35-year-old Serena Sibson-Bartram.

After a police and social services investigation was conducted, it was revealed that the trio forced the boys to stand for hours in 'stress positions' and denied them food.

They had shockingly subjected the youngsters to a horrific campaign of abuse for four years - between February 2014 to March 2018.

Following a trial at Shrewsbury Crown Court in April this year, Mr Paisley and Sibson-Bartram, from Telford, Shropshire, were found guilty and were charged with four counts of child neglect.

The 39-year-old was jailed for seven-and-a-half-years, while Sibson-Bartram was caged for six-and-a half years at the same court.

Meanwhile, Samantha Paisley, also from Telford, admitted two counts of child neglect and was jailed for three years on 28 November 2022.

Speaking of the horror, Detective Constable Vicky Fisher, of West Mercia Police, said: “The defendants showed no remorse for their tremendously cruel crimes against innocent young boys they were supposed to care and protect.

“Hopefully this third sentencing can provide the boys and their family with some closure from this very distressing case."

She added: “We are grateful to the support of Telford and Wrekin Children’s Services and especially to the school who made the initial report.

“Many witnesses also came forward and we thank them for their bravery in helping deliver justice. We urge anyone with any concerns about the welfare of a child to please get in touch as soon as possible.”

Telford and Wrekin Children’s Services have now re-homed the boys, and they are now living in a safe family home.
