'Cruel' husband openly insults his wife after developing hidden code

A man has been branded 'cruel' after developing a secret code that he used to openly mock his wife - and even though he's done it for years she has no idea.

Sharing his story anonymously, the man said that his wife would often open text messages with a cute pleasantry, such as 'hi honey' or 'hey babe'.

Then in response, the man would refer to his wife as 'my little honey badger ', and the woman thought this was a suitably cute nickname for herself.

But the man revealed his wife didn't know what honey badgers were like, as they are, in his words, the "nastiest, most vicious b******s on the planet".

What do you think about the man's cruel nickname for his wife? Let us know in the comments...

The husband shared his story on the Twitter account Fesshole, where users submit their stories to be retold anonymously.

He wrote: "My wife always starts her text messages to me with 'Hi babe' or 'Hun'.

"For the last few years I've replied with 'my little Honey Badger'.

"She thinks it's cute but she hasn't twigged that honey badgers are amongst the nastiest, most vicious b*****ds on the planet."

The tweet has now gone viral since being shared on the account, with it racking up more than 7,000 likes.

Some found it hilarious, as one exclaimed: "This is brilliant."

While another wrote: "This has made me proper laugh way too much and now I shall call my daughter 'honey badger'."

However, some told the guy he may actually be complimenting his wife after all.

Talking about honey badgers, one said: "They’re also the most determined and most stoic, also incredibly pugnacious and don’t take cr*p from anyone, they’re also very intelligent."

While another added: "Honey Badgers take down larger animals by castrating them with their claws..."
