Crude bomb hurled at SDPI worker’s house in Kannur

A day after the State witnessed widespread violence during the hartal called by the Popular Front of India, a crude bomb was hurled at the house of a Socialist Democratic Party of India (SDPI) worker at Panoor early on September 25. 

According to the police, the bomb was hurled at the house of Ajmal, a native of Parad in Panoor around 1.30 a.m. The house suffered minor damage in the impact. No one was injured.

The police said a case had been registered under Sections 3 and 5 of the Explosives Act. A team under Station House Officer M.P. Azad visited the spot and launched an investigation.
