Croxploitation hits the rap world

Eight-year-old Bindi Irwin's proposed TV series may have been shelved as inappropriate so soon after the death of her father, Steve, but Australians have been dismayed by another apparent instance of croxploitation in the US. The hip-hop artist Ras Kass has just released a track including the lyric:

You're the waste of LA

Get blast up in LA

Face down, ass up in LA

You the Crocodile Hunter, I am the stingray.

Steve Irwin's manager told smh.com.au: "I just find it a bit sad that people have to stoop to that."
