Adelaide captain Rory Sloane will make his comeback from eye surgery in Saturday night's AFL grudge match against Port Adelaide.
And the Power will be bolstered by the return ex-skipper Travis Boak, who missed last week's loss to Brisbane because of a thigh injury.
Adelaide's Sloane has been sidelined for the past four matches after having surgery to fix a detached retina in an eye.
Crows coach Matthew Nicks says the star midfielder emerged unscathed through physical training on Thursday and a light session on Friday.
"We have consulted with the experts and he has been given the all clear," Nicks told reporters.
"From a footy point of view he has had just over a month out so it's a big challenge for him coming back in.
"But we know what sort of player he is, he will put his head over it (the ball)."
Adelaide half-backs Luke Brown (Achilles) and Will Hamill (ankle) will also return with Nicks flagging another change when teams are announced on Friday night.
Port coach Ken Hinkley said Boak would return along with Kane Farrell at the expense of Boyd Woodcock, Sam Mayes and Marty Fredericks - one of the latter trio would be the medical substitute.
"Rory Sloane is a good in for them and Trav Boak is a real good in for us too, I reckon both boys will make it pretty even of who is coming in," Hinkley said.
The Port mentor believed the midfield battles would be decisive in the first Adelaide Oval match with a capacity 50,000-strong crowd since last year's outbreak of coronavirus.
The state government had previously restricted AFL crowd numbers this season to 75 per cent capacity.
