
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, has received a telephone call from UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The UN chief expressed his deep gratitude for the Kingdom's contribution of $500 million to the United Nations humanitarian response plan for Yemen in 2020, SPA said late Wednesday.
Guterres thanked the Kingdom for its role in achieving advanced results in a political solution in Yemen, highly appreciating the great efforts of the Crown Prince in this regard, it said.
The UN Secretary General also praised the Kingdom's great efforts in leading the G20, and the initiatives it had presented in the framework of international efforts to combat the Coronavirus pandemic.
For his part, the Crown Prince affirmed the Kingdom's keenness on achieving the interest, security and stability of the brotherly Yemeni people, stressing that the Kingdom will continue to play its role in preserving the security and stability of the region and the world, SPA added.
