Crowds make most of the sunshine at L11 Festival in Croxteth

Crowds gathered today to celebrate the L11 Festival.

The annual festival, held on Alt Park, Croxteth, brings together the local community of Ellergreen and Norris Green. The L11 festival, which was last year named Community Event of the Year at the ECHO Awards, today provided plenty of entertainment- including table tennis, bagpipes, and a ukulele group.

There was also a wellbeing tent where children were invited to draw pictures in memory of the Queen.

Merseyside Police were also in attendance at the festival, with one officer even playing a spontaneous game of table tennis with local MP Ian Byrne.

Organiser Sandra Hamilton said the officers are "great with the community."
