Crowds lined Liverpool's Waterfront as Disney Magic returned to the city

All eyes were on the River Mersey today as Disney's Magic cruise liner made in highly anticipated return to Liverpool.

It spent around 12 hours docks at Liverpool's cruise terminal before it set sail at around 6pm, with a farewell party which lasted around 45 minutes.

ECHO photographers and reporters were down at the waterfront and in the middle of all the action.

Before the ship set sail, organisers hosted a huge free party to celebrate its return to the city with face painting, street dancing, live music and more.

Disney characters were of course there to greet visitors too, including a replica character costume from the Lion King.
