Crowdfunder plans to raise money to brighten up NHS staff areas in Belfast with flowers

A fundraising project has been started in aid of NHS workers in Northern Ireland.

A JustGiving page, started by Megan Leschinsky, plans to make the staff areas of Belfast hospitals just a little bit prettier.

The fund will go towards making a flower garden for the hospital staff areas across Belfast.

The JustGiving page says: "We have started this project as a small way to say thank you to the NHS workers in our community.

"We aim to create somewhere beautiful for the staff members to have a cup of tea or their lunch to show our appreciation of the sacrifices they are making to keep us safe.

"Planting a garden of any kind is an act of showing hope for the future, and it is a future that would be a lot darker without the NHS!"

Despite launching the fund a month ago, it has only raised £40 of its £500 target.

You can donate to Megan's fund on the JustGiving page here.
