Crosshouse Primary to close on pupils' first day back at school

Crosshouse Primary is going to close on its first day back.

A burst water main impacting the KA1 and KA2 area of Kilmarnock has meant the school has no supply.

A statement on the school's Facebook page says that parents can collect their children immediately.

The post reads: "Due to the ongoing water problem which has not been resolved as quickly as we hoped we are are having to close the school and ECC with immediate effect.

"You can now begin to collect your child from the door you drop them at.

"Packed lunch can be collected for those entitled. We will remain with your child until they are collected.

"So sorry for this unfortunate and untimely event."
