A man and woman are being treated in Crosshouse Hospital after a car exploded outside the building.
Police say they are dealing with an ongoing incident, which took place earlier this afternoon.
Emergency services are currently on the scene, following the blast at around 2.30pm.
Police said early enquiries showed there did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
A statement read: "Emergency services are currently dealing with an incident outside Crosshouse Hospital where a car exploded around 2.30pm.
"A man and a woman are being treated in hospital.
"Enquiries into the cause are ongoing however there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances."
