Crooks go on £3k spending spree with stolen credit card

Purchases totalling more than £3,000 were made in a spending spree after a credit card was stolen.

They were made without the knowledge of the legitimate card holder after the card was reported stolen from Penny Lane post office on Smithdown Road.

The purchases were made at a number of locations across Liverpool.

Merseyside Police has now issued images of two men they wish to speak to in connection with the incident, on Friday August 6.

Detective Inspector Phil Ryan said: "We're keen to speak to anyone who recognises these men, as they may hold vital information to assist our enquiries.

"Whether you come forward to us directly or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, all information we receive will be acted upon."

Anyone with information or who recognises the men pictured is asked to contact us via @MerPolCC on Twitter, 'Merseyside Police Contact Centre' on Facebook, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, with reference 21000395724.
