Croke Park set to become mass vaccination centre as rollout ramps up

Croke Park is set to become the site of Dublin's latest mass vaccination centre in May as the COVID-19 jabs rollout ramps up.

The centre at the national stadium will have ten booths for jabs, and will operate from 8am-8pm seven days a week for vaccine appointments.

Four mass vaccination centres have already been set up in the capital to distribute jabs.

GAA HQ joins The Helix, the Aviva Stadum, the Citywest Convention Centre, and TU Dublin's campus in Grangegorman as the locations in the capital.

Much like the other centres, the Croke Park centre will be appointment only after referral.

HSE guidelines say each vaccine appointment should take 30 minutes in total, meaning Croke Park's centre should have the capacity to vaccinate up to 240 people a day and 1,680 people a week.
